CHRIS REA ONE FINE DAY ALBUM REVIEW

Writing an album review is not always just fun, but Chris Rea's new release entitled 'One Fine Day' deserves a good ol' glass of tasteful whiskey in one hand and a sweet smelling classic style cigar in the other.

'One Fine Day' features a beautiful, simple, yet meaningful album cover painting. The release is a collection of previously unreleased and re-recorded songs produced by the man himself, the always unforgettable, great Chris Rea.

'Do You Still Dream' starts the record as a flowing river while giving pleasant calmness to the mind. As the song is building up it becomes the perfect ride of your daydream or night dreams with Chris Rea's gentle voice.

'Loving You' gives a slow funky vibe with that beautiful sound of the Stratocaster guitar. Great melody turns, meaningful lyrics done by the finest taste.

'One Fine Day' starts with a one of a kind guitar intro. Ohh man, the way those bendings go on the guitar is way beyond words. As the drum starts it gets a great vibe. An instant old time classic with genius lyrics.

'One Sweet and Tender Touch' flows like the river of true lovers walking in the sunset holding hands. Tears coming from the beautiful melodies. Chris Rea did an awesome.vocal job on this one too. Just the way only he knows how to do.

'If I Ever Break' shakes up the tempo of the record a bit. Good ol' funky mixed up with those sweet country guitar licks. Awesome job! ;)

The title 'Sierra Sierra' represents a perfect phrase of words describing the musical feeling of this total 10/10 song. Watch out for the lyrics! Ohh, and that guitar solo gives me chills.

'Members Only' gave such a good time for me!
I suggest you to just dance and rock out to that one! Instant Chris Rea rocking classic!

'Let Me The One' rushes into our a heads just like a good ol' time classic should do. Brilliant musical changes while the drums are running with the song. Perfect song with a guitar solo to remember forever!

Closing the record here comes 'One Night with You'. That song is fun for sure. Chris Rea's voice sounds hell of a brilliant way here too! Pure cool awesomeness overall.

To sum it up Chris Rea One Fine Day release is an awesome, meaningful, really great sounding record from one of the best all time professional musician walked this Earth. Music 9/10, lyrics 10/10 too, so better listen close and enjoy One Fine Day. :) Do not forget to buy it! Details below:

BLACK STONE CHERRY - THE WAY BLUES SHOULD BE PLAYED TODAY

Black Stone Cherry is a hard working, very much of a really talented guys hailing and headbangin' from Kentucky, USA. This special EP release is one of a kinda work even from the guys. Better watch it coming, 'cause it comes just like a real tough musical hurricane.

The guys from Black Stone Cherry are pushing themselves into the first song 'Big Legged Woman' real tasty hard. I hear it like Ray Charles, Muddy Waters, T-Bone Walker and co. plays the finest ol' time Southern Blues! Hellyeah! I feel that 'mini skirt' in my palm! He-he! :)

Second title 'Me & The Devil Blues' is an easy-going funky groove based huge Southern Rock 'N Roll piece of great MUSIC with a twist in the middle, watch out for the latter! ;)

Third title 'All Your Love (I Miss Loving)' slowly as it sneaks in, right in to the Link Wray feeling of the mind becomes something huge as a mountain. Had to instantly play that song one more time, well at least one more time since I did not expected the way the BSC guys built it up from moody Blues feeling to the top of a skyscraper! Brilliantly composed piece.

Fourth title 'Down Bottom' kicks like a thunder and punches you by smashing drums and tasty, but still heavy guitars. Could easily become motorcycle owners', bikers' most recent favorite road song.

Fifth song 'Early One Morning' that one made me speechless and going totally crazy something like the great Ozzy Osbourne! Ha-ha! :) Turned up the volume to the max who cares about the neighbours when you hear a perfectly played untouchable Blues music at the highest levels of all. Do NOT loose that 4:11 track from the Back To Blues Vol. 2 Black Stone Cherry EP. As the solo kicks in everything falls apart and coming into one crazy little, dirty and wildly beautiful thing cannot be described by word.

The enclosing sixth title is called none other than 'Death Letter Blues'. Ohh, Dear God, what could I say about it?! Hits you like a roaring tiger who runs towards you. Touches your hear deeply inside and wanna make you scream and shout and jump around 'til the house is smashed down.

Additionally Black Stone Cherry singer Chris Robertson flows with all the vocals throughout the whole release. He's a true spirit of huge melody, big time Southern Rock 'N Roll and his knowledge is second to none. Being perfect partners in crime John Fred YoungBen WellsChris RobertsonJon Lawhon doing their parts as best ever musical companions paying tribute to the great Southern Blues of all kind like Delta, Chicago, Funky, you name it. The whole Mojo is in their body, in their soul and in their palm.

To sum it up Black Stone Cherry Back To The Blues Vol.II is the perfect Blues record for today's listener. Hopefully just like Stevie Ray Vaughan did throughout the '80s this masterly played music material is going to bring back the Blues to the masses. Let the Mojo work for itself I personally wish that from all my heart. Thank you BLACK STONE CHERRY! 10/10

Paul Gilbert Behold Electric Guitar Album Review

Paul Gilbert is back with an insanely sweet, cool, totally unique sounding musical fusion played and recorded at the highest level Behold Electric Guitar.

Making solo records since 1998, being world famous with the band called Mr. Big, having a musical project like Racer X, countless special guest appearance with highly anticipated artist both on records and live, doing guitar instructional videos with invaluable knowledge share, Paul Gilbert is one of the hardest working guys in the music industry, if not the most hard working. His talent is beyond words.
I do believe with his intangible musical talent, techniques and capabilities Paul Gilbert will never get bored surprising us real true music listeners with something totally new and fresh like he did with his latest solo record Behold Electric Guitar again.

On Behold Electric Guitar mixes musical genres and styles like Blues, Rock, Jazz, Fusion, Funky and beyond just as smooth as a bird flies. Mixing up and using the mentioned musical root styles results in a very unique Paul Gilbert feeling, mood with real sweet fulfillment for the true music listener throughout the album.

Overall I do believe he's a magician who happens to play the electric guitar like no other person on this planet. He knows all the tricks, mastered all the scales, can feel an inspiration from anything really that touches, motivates or moves him even just a little bit and turns that tiny, little things to sweet or hard, touching deep inside instrumental music. When touching the wah-wah guitar pedal, that's I guess my favorite special thing about this album, because the way as Paul Gilbert uses it gives another unbelievable new dimension and also layer of flowing with the music deeper, deeper and beyond any other kind of feeling.

Yes, as you already see I happen not to go song by song as usual in my reviews, rather just feel all the energy coming from the record and I feel like I totally united with the universe of music once again. Well, maybe not just the universe of music, but the all the stars, the sweet happiness and sadness throughout this beautiful universe of ours. Thank you Paul Gilbert for this release of greatness for the music listeners again in 2019! 10/10 ---- can we go any higher with points? :)
